As the author of From Patient to Advocate: Turning Survivorship Into Impact, Tim shares the lessons learned on his own journey to empower patients, caregivers, and advocates to find their voice and use it.

With 17 years of experience in community management, including roles at HuffPost and Raptive, Tim brings a unique blend of storytelling, digital strategy, and human connection to the advocacy space. He hosts the Advocacy at Work podcast, serves as a Research Advocate with Fight Colorectal Cancer, and leads Florida's chapter for Man Up to Cancer. He also sits on patient advisory councils for HOPA and the PAN Foundation, has participated in federal grant peer review through PRCRP/CDMRP, and has spoken at conferences across the U.S. and internationally.

Tim believes that community is medicine, and that every patient has a story worth sharing. He lives in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and can often be found connecting advocates, mentoring new voices, and reminding anyone who will listen that the wound becomes the wisdom, and the wisdom becomes the work.
