So Blessed to Be Here!

I was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer 2002. I had surgery, but no chemo or radiation. It took me a year to recover. I joined a cancer support group that was wonderful. I learned so much about cancer, different oncologists, clinical trials, hospitals, you name it. We got very close and very supportive of each other.

In August of 2017, I was diagnosed with tongue cancer. I had a glossectomy. It came back in December of 2018 and I had another glossectomy. I had 6 weeks of radiation this time. I had an elective surgery call free flap that I regret, but as of today, I am doing great and I just feel so blessed!
