What helps you get through tough days?

Living with a cancer diagnosis means facing some exceptionally hard days. What small practices, coping strategies, or anchors help get you through the rough patches?

  1. I'm a (4) time cancer survivor and a recovering alcoholic, Kathy. Acceptance is a tenet, the keystone to unlocking and living a life beyond my wildest dreams through adpting a design for living made possible and available to me as a member of a 12 Step recovery program.

  2. Keeping busy and focused on every day house and home duties and fixing what needs to be done.. Also keeps me fit as much as possible and then do my exercises, No time to think about cancer or what it did or tried to do to my ;life. If I dwell on cancer then for sure it will beat me and I won't let that happen.

  3. My husband helps me stay focused and I use my mantra.

    1. That's wonderful. You are lucky to have a loving caregiver. All the best, Kathy (Team member)

  4. When I stop living in the problem and begin living in the answer, the problem goes away.
Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.

    1. That's deep

    2. That's a marvelous philosophy. Have you used a book, tool, or other source that you can recommend for developing the attitude of acceptance? Warmly, Kathy (Team member)
